Helmet Head: Gladiator

It started out as design sketch, trying to get a nice and simple character that would be well suited for animation. But then my male brain kinda took over and it ended up as a mutant, robot, gladiator, octopus thing. The shading was inspired by all kinds of old paintings, when gradients and burn tools weren't an option and you really had to work for it, to make it look nice.

If I'm ever gonna animate characters like this, then I would probably stick to the kids design.
